They are the most wonderful candles you will ever smell, highly recommend. These don’t have an overwhelming “fake” smell whatsoever, as you might find with other candles. Cashmere is my favourite 🤓

I was new to the candle shopping scene when I first encountered Bask Hour at the very first Anime Ottawa back in 2024. And boy am I glad I did, because they really opened my eyes to a whole new world of candle shopping. Their candles are a cut above the rest—not only are they all-natural and soot-free, with a lovely mood-setting crackle from the bamboo wick (a selling point at their booth!), but they have an absolute gift for really capturing the scent of something in a candle. When I was a newbie candle shopper, I’d buy any candle that smells good; now, as a veteran, I shop exclusively from Bask Hour, and I’ve even set aside a designated “candle time” in the evening for one of their candles. Their candles are top-notch, and they have something for everyone!

My Top 5 Bask Hour scents are:

Cozy Cream: I saw this scent recommended by the reviews on the website, and I’m so happy I gave it a try! It’s a lovely combination of fresh, sweet, and even a little sensual. Plus the name itself is adorable.

Cereal: A classic favourite, which really captured the smell of a bowl of fruit loops. Lighting one up in summer takes me back to childhood summer vacations, eating bowls of cereal while watching cartoons.

Jasmine: Another classic. I love floral scents as much as food scents, and the sweet jasmine scent is one of my favourites. I can even smell the subtle honey notes. To me, Jasmine just screams “spring”.

Henny: This one was a surprise, given my preference for food and florals, but it won me over at first sniff. Its masculine and sensual scent awakens a more romantic mood.

Apple Pie: My absolute favourite seasonal scent, and another candle that really captures the scent of an apple pie baking in the oven… right down to the crust! To me, Apple Pie really encapsulates what I love most about autumn.

Wowow just the best. Im surprised they are not in Costco already - this would be amazing!
Delivery on point and on time. Product is Diptyque quality, but reasonably priced! I would stock up before people get wind of it.

I bought the Yuzu candle and the Cà phê sūa đá one and I love them both. The crackling wick is relaxing to hear as they burn and it doesn't sputter the wax around like others I have used in the past. The scent itself is strong enough to be able to be detected in a larger room which is so great but not at all overpowering. This isn't a complaint at all on the quality of the product as it's only my personal preference, I do wish there was more Yuzu scent upfront in the Yuzu candle vs the floral, but I'm pretty obsessed with Yuzu. The free sticker and handwritten note was very appreciated and shows how professional and kind you are. Thank you for everything!

Got the cafe sua da one at a pop up they did and loved it so so much. For the holidays decided to spoil myself and friends with these candles. They smell so so gooooood! And the packaging is so aesthetic so that’s a plus ✨! Tried new scent and honestly loved every single one of them! Cashmere is a new must for me 🫶🏻 got so many compliments and questions on it! Highly recommend !

Je suis en amour avec ces chandelles. Elles sentent le bonheur et rendent les moments les plus anodins toujours plus agréables grâce à leurs parfums. Elles durent longtemps, les emballages sont jolis et les gens qui les vendent sont toujours super gentils :) J'ai hâte de découvrir leurs futures collections ! (Ah ! Les tote bags aussi ! On en parle ? Ils sont ADORABLES !!)

Love the fact that I can burn these without getting a headache, I live in Montreal so had the pleasure of meeting Louie and Bao on different occasions whenever they were participating at markets, they're really nice heartwarming people. Really appreciate the asian influence on the brand, 10/10 recommend

Amazing quality and attention to details in their packaging, I have been getting their candles for YEARS! Watch out for seasonal drops, they sell out quick on their fan favs, I personally love cozy cream and their other Asian inspired scents
